What you are going to find here?
Content about technology, platform censorship, content moderation, memory, and archiving in Abya Yala (Latin America). I am interested in community resistance strategies in these spaces and design as a form of decolonial worldbuilding. Using class, race, and gender as an analytical lens.
Research interests
I research the intersection of society, technology, and dissident communities in Abya Yala. Through this, I created the Guardians of the Resistance project, which focuses on the implications of content moderation policies of platforms on communities' memory and image-making, as well as the impact of this in their counter-archiving practices.
Periodicity
I work slowly and against the grind.
Where is this coming from?
From the positionality of an intersectional feminist, Marxist-driven Latina that worked as a journalist, as a product manager unionizer, and that now navigates the world of international nonprofits and independent research.
